Judge Sotomayor says "I'm Puerto Rican, born and raised in the East Bronx".
The last time I checked this meant her parents were Puerto Rican, and the judge (though she may be less proud to know this) is
an American.
She also stated proudly that she was the product of affirmative action - that her grades weren't up to par.
This means that she took someone else's place; someone who had better grades and deserved to be there more.
She was hard-pressed to explain her half dozen comments and writings about performing better than a 'white man' might do in the same job. Perhaps because her statements are indefensible.
Despite being a bigot, Democrats are fawning over her. "Compelling life story" we hear endlessly.
Others with an equally compelling story were passed over (including by Obama) because they were Republican.
Apparently only Democrats are compelling enough to vote for....
Well, the day of reckoning is coming. Next november we'll be actively voting you all out.
I hope you enjoyed your fifteen minutes, gang, because you won't be back for a long, long time.
